Fees are as follows:
The cost for each of Years 1 and 2 (4 modules per year) is £3,550.00 for entrants in September 2011.
The dissertation in Year 3 is charged at £1,550.00.
(These figures are liable to slight adjustment to take account of cost of living rises as determined by Napier University)
Where students elect to study a limited number of single module courses that could stand alone or eventually build up to a full MSc, the cost of each of these modules are offered at £890 if commencing in 2011.
An award of £500 is donated annually to the 'Best Student of the Year', determined against appropriately weighted criteria. As organisers of the course, we are delighted to have this extra element of recognition for our students. The first donation was made to Emma Payne (Arup) and the second to Andy Chidgey (Birmingham City Council) after gaining consistently high quality marks in coursework and examinations.
Funding
Funding opportunities for part-time students are available on a competitively-awarded basis from the Panasonic Trust - see www.raeng.org.uk for details.
Further support may be available in due course from sponsor companies/consultancies to aid the payment of tuition fees of 'independent' students who are not employed in the transport field, and to support annual field-trips to selected cities in UK and Europe to view particular transport planning initiatives.
